SVR's Mammoth Porsche Happening (MPH) is another chance for PCA folks to get away and spend a couple of days driving in the incredible beauty of Northern California, swap stories with new- and old-friends who also love Porsches and have an all round wonderful time.  It debuted in 2005 and is back this year headquartered at the Mammoth Creek Inn in beautiful Mammoth Lakes Country.  Below the link to the MPH 2008 Flyer and below that you can view some photos of the intrepid adventurers of previous Mammoth events.  The first MPH included "Touring Bob" who shares the universe with Rich and Judy and "Katie the Safety Spotter" - striking her famous 911 TARGA Tour-Observation Pose for human companions Claudia and Kevin.  Not to put "too" delicate a point on it, Bob can be spotted by his "height challenged posture" and Katie is easily recognized by the length of her nose.  (No offense meant to either, or anyone that may be mistaken for them.)

For those that missed previous events, you missed " traveling up-and-over the Sierra Nevada Mountains, down into the valley to land on a lone ribbon of N/S asphalt known as US 395 and finally chase other Porsches up into the hills of Mammoth Lakes.  On top of the fun of getting there, the crystal clear air and spectacular mountains and lakes of the destination make wonderful memories to share with family and friends.  You owe it to yourself to kick back, join MPH and become one of the PCA Mammoths and enjoy some of our country's most beautiful settings and cooler weather when the temperatures will undoubtedly rise here on the "Left Side of the Mountains."
